"Dedicated to improving and promoting baseball umpiring in New Hampshire"
December 4, 2025
Dear Members of the NHBUA,
The Executive Board hopes you enjoyed time with family and friends over the Thanksgiving holiday. We also wish you a very happy holiday season coming up.
Based on an email that has recently been disseminated, the board wanted to reach out as many of you have sought clarity regarding the leadership transition within our organization. We appreciate your concern, your professionalism, and your continued commitment to the NHBUA's mission and values.
We want to address the situation directly, without engaging in personal attacks or revisiting internal discussions that are not appropriate for public circulation. Leadership transitions within an organization can create questions, and it is important that those questions be met with transparency, professionalism, and respect for the membership we serve.
Here are the points we want to make clear:
The decision regarding the transition of personnel in the supervisor role followed the procedures laid out in our bylaws.
These processes exist to ensure fairness, consistency, and integrity. While not everyone will agree with every outcome, the organization followed its written structure and acted within its authority.
2. No member of the leadership team acted with malice or personal agenda.
The NHBUA is made up of volunteers who give countless hours to improve umpiring across the state. Differences in perspectives occur, but they do not constitute chaos, toxicity, or misconduct. It is important that we avoid narratives that divide our membership or cast individuals in adversarial roles.
3. Claims of "doctored documents," bullying, or unethical behavior are not accurate. We will not discuss personnel matters through mass emails, but we want to reassure members that these allegations are not supported by fact. Our focus will remain on professionalism, not personal accusations.
4. The NHBUA is not moving backwards - our mission and vision remain the same.
We are committed to developing officials, preparing umpires for high-level opportunities, and supporting every member with training, mentorship, and a positive environment. One departure - however unexpected - does not diminish the strength or direction of the organization.
5. Our work continues, and it continues together.
Baseball is built on teamwork, and so is leadership. We will move forward with unity, respect, and a renewed focus on collaboration. Decisions made by the board reflect what we believe is best for the long-term stability and health of the NHBUA.
As we prepare for the 2026 season, we encourage everyone to stay focused on the work that truly matters: supporting each other, growing as officials, and serving the student-athletes and schools who rely on us.
Thank you for your continued professionalism and dedication. If you have questions or concerns, we welcome you to reach out directly so we can have constructive, one-on one conversations, rooted in facts and respect.
We look forward to continuing this season with all of you and strengthening the organization we are all proud to be part of.
Respectfully
Adam Rozumek
NHBUA President
